Beware of paint also, paint does not have the durability  and is not resistant to chemicals like a good epoxy garage floor coating.

The Granitex system is said to be the best garage floor coating you can get when it comes to looks, durability and its resistance to chemicals. This coating is typically good for 12 to 15 years before any maintenance is needed.  Granitex flooring systems are also resistant to chips and cracks unlike regular epoxy systems.
